Job Description

Surety Technical Assistants work in partnership with Surety Account Managers, Producers, Practice Leader and construction group members to provide attentive, effective client service, reinforcing and developing the client/broker relationship. Surety Technical Assistants will be required to handle client needs across multiple surety lines including but not limited to contract surety, developer surety and commercial surety.

DUTIES



Issue day to day bonds/prequals/finals/Riders/Endorsements & any other bonding instruments required by our clients or producer. Ensure accurate review of bonding documents against bond requisition & project specs. Proactively maintain renewals and invoicing for any commercial surety accounts (60 days in advance) Keep track of the documentation i.e. scanning docs into customer & adding activities in system and updating Erlon records Calculate & confirm Premium adjustments as required including renewals of bonds and extensions. Assist with preparation of new bonding submissions (as required by the producer & practice leader) Keep client contacts current & up to date on Acturis Process Annual Bond Administration Fees (60 days prior to renewal) Ensure executed broker authorities are kept up to date & attached in TAM as well as a hard copy in the file. Close/lapse finished bonds in Acturis, follow up status of lien bonds. Monthly update requests for outstanding tenders (unless account is active, bi-weekly or as required by underwriting) Process & confirm accuracy and send final bonds to clients and scan and email to bonding companies daily. Scan and email bid bonds to bonding companies. Assist in coordinating with commercial requests (insurance certificates, as required)

RESPONSIBILITIES



Maintenance & organization of proper file documentation and Acturis records including abeyances, accessible by others, in accordance with FCA procedures Diligent observation of and respect for RIBO Code of Conduct as well as Privacy policy and procedures in place, in all aspects of professional conduct Contribute and maintain professional atmosphere and appearance of the office. Participate in continuing education programs as available (also required by RIBO). Other projects and/or duties as needed and requested by management.
