Supported Cluster Housing (SCH)
is one of the many services offered by New Directions. Cluster Housing provides independent living supports to people who may have intellectual disabilities and/or mental health issues, and who experience barriers to living independently in the community.
Job responsibilities include
(but are not limited to)
Maintains and updates files, databases, and trackers for Home Share Providers and individuals supported by Supported Cluster Housing services.
Audits documentation and ensures compliance with standards; supports in reporting requirements for licensing and funding.
Processes invoices and manages transactions.
Compiles, maintains, and provides reports and statistics as requested (e.g., training records, staff lists, incident reports).
Manages training registration and tracking for staff and the leadership team.
Schedules and coordinates appointments, meetings, and training requirements; maintains on-call schedules, equipment meeting minutes.
Provides clerical and technological support to staff, including document preparation, photocopying, and initial computer setup.
Manages office supplies, forms, mail distribution, and incident report databases.
Maintains SharePoint updates, safety records, and identification processes for staff.
Assists in exploring and implementing new program resources as approved.
Assist with Monthly staff scheduling.
Review of staff attendance.
Acts as an ambassador for New Directions both internally and externally by fostering teamwork, positivity, and professionalism, ensuring that the organization is represented positively when liaising with external supporters
Ensures administrative and operational activities align with best practices, risk management principles, and organizational standards.
Maintains accurate, secure, and retrievable documentation for licensing and service requirements.
Supports initiatives that uphold compliance with internal and external expectations (e.g., licensing, safety checks, reporting).
The successful Candidate will have:
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an administrative role, preferably in the non-profit sector or within a clinic setting.
Post-secondary education (degree or diploma) in Business Administration from a recognized post- secondary institution. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Dynamics 365.
Strong organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Excellent customer service abilities; sensitivity to customer issues and understanding the importance of diplomacy and confidentiality.
Proven ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts.
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
Fluency in American Sign Language is considered an asset.
The salary range for this
1-year Term
70-hour bi-weekly position is $18.31 to $24.72 per hour, dependent upon education and/or experience. The anticipated start date for this position is
October 27th, 2025.
