Position Summary:


We are seeking a

compassionate

reliable

, and skilled

Community Care Worker

to provide

high-quality

,

person-centered support

in a

residential setting

. The ideal candidate will have strong

communication skills

, including proficiency in

American Sign Language (ASL)

, to foster meaningful interaction and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide personalized support with

daily living activities

such as dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. Support

health and well-being

through

medication assistance

and promoting healthy routines. Offer

emotional support

, companionship, and inclusion in daily activities. Communicate effectively using

ASL

and other communication tools to ensure understanding and engagement. Maintain accurate

documentation

and report relevant observations. Promote a

safe

,

respectful

, and

supportive environment

at all times. Collaborate with team members and participate in

ongoing training

and development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:



Proficiency in

American Sign Language (ASL)

(required). Experience in

community care

,

assisted living

, or

disability support

(preferred). Knowledge of

personal care assistance

and

person-centered service approaches

. Strong

interpersonal

and

communication skills

. Ability to maintain a

clean

,

safe

, and

organized environment

.

Emergency First Aid

and

CPR certification

(or willingness to obtain within 90 days). Clear

Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check

(within last 6 months). Legally eligible to

work in Canada

(valid work or study permit if applicable).
