Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with patients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and hospice care environments. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of caregiving tasks aimed at enhancing the quality of life for those you support.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation and personal hygiene. Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals, fostering a positive environment. Offer specialized care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Support patients with mobility challenges, including heavy lifting when necessary. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to individual needs. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Document and report any changes in clients' conditions or behaviors to appropriate personnel. Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote mental and physical well-being.

Requirements

Previous experience in caregiving or patient care is preferred. Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the needs of the clients. Familiarity with assisted living, nursing home, or hospice care settings is a plus. Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and their families. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Must be able to pass background checks as required by the organization.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week

8 hour shift Day shift Evening shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
