Your Opportunity
Brentwood College School is urgently seeking a dedicated Support Worker / Educational Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time position during the active school year with a start date before the new school year begins in September 2025. The role requires a compassionate individual to provide essential one-on-one support for a student with mobility challenges. The student is expected to attend Brentwood for two school years.
Hours: This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, with potential evening and weekend hours required to support the student during school-related events and activities
Compensation: The salary for this role is $29 - $34 and will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications
Your Experience and Qualifications
Two (2) or more years of experience providing support to individuals with physical disabilities, preferably in an educational or youth-focused setting
Proven ability to assist with mobility, personal care, and academic tasks
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
A clear Criminal Record Check clearance is required for initial and ongoing employment
Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada at the time of application

Note: This position involves working 40 hours per week while school is in session, plus on-call availability as needed. Flexibility is necessary due to the nature of a boarding school environment.
Education / Experience:
Post-secondary education in a related field, such as Community Support Worker, Special Education Assistant, or a combination of relevant experience and training
3 years' experience working with individuals with physical disabilities and mobility challenges, particularly in a school or care setting
Level 1 First Aid certification with CPR (required)
