Job Description

We are seeking motivated individuals to fill the position of Support Worker in an organization where responsibilities can vary widely. The right candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a high level of flexibility, as tasks can take place throughout the week. Certain areas of focus include assisting with preparing for and running appointments, researching and organizing articles for clients, assisting with personal care when needed, cleaning, cooking, and medication distribution. Responsibilities:

• Be able to deal with potentially difficult situations such as people being rude or belligerent; maintain composure and remain professional.
• Work with people who are distressed and vulnerable.
• Provide emotional support.
• Support others to live as independently as possible.
• Help people with day-to-day living.
• Help people with their daily tasks such as showering, eating, dressing, hygiene etc.
• Assist residents in making the transition from hospital to home using the appropriate aids and equipment.
• Answer residents\' questions and give them information on their medications, food and drinks, relaxation activities etc.
• Meal preparation and clean up
• Medication distribution

Training will be provided .
