We are currently seeking a Support Services Supervisor to provide temporary support in three of our long term care facilities located in Port Coquitlam and Surrey. This position is a three month full-time position.

Position Overview:
The Support Services Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of support services within our long-term care home. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and coordinating services that enhance resident care and facility efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead the support services team, including cooks, dietary, housekeeping and laundry staff.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and facility policies.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve service delivery and resident satisfaction.
Manage budgets and resources for support services, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Collaborate with nursing and care teams to ensure a holistic approach to resident care.
Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
Conduct training and development programs for support services staff.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and excellence.
Qualifications:
Certified member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management.
Previous experience in a management role within food service, healthcare or long-term care setting.
Experience in cooking considered an asset.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in long-term care.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
