Cambrian College's Learning Centre requires a part-time Support Services Officers, on a 24-hour per week basis, beginning September 2025.

This role will require flexibility in scheduling with availability for day or evening shifts at the Barrydowne campus.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide tutoring to Cambrian College students from beginner through advanced accounting-related courses. Creating, facilitating, and revising relevant Learning Centre workshops. Curating, creating, and maintaining Learning Centre resource materials. Collecting and tabulating Learning Centre statistics. Assisting with Learning Centre customer service.

Qualifications

Required:

Four-year postsecondary degree in a relevant field. (A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application

education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application)
Minimum of two years of teaching or tutoring experience in a variety of accounting subjects aligned with Cambrian College's Accounting curriculum, such as economics, statistics, and spreadsheet functions and applications. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills along with a commitment to working within a team environment. The incumbent will be responsible for using creative teaching/tutoring approaches and learning strategies to enhance student progress. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Additional Assets/Preferred:

Knowledge or experience in postsecondary education. Practice using virtual web conferencing tools to meet with students or colleagues. Chartered Professional Accountant and in good standing.
