Support Services Manager
to oversee the internal operations of our Support Services division located at the world-renowned Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology. About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Support Services Manager ensures the smooth and effective operation of the Support Services team under our annual service agreement with the Government of Alberta. This position balances human resource leadership, financial oversight, and operational management to support both staff and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, training, scheduling, performance management, staff communication, and compliance with legislation.
Manage financial processes for the Support Services division, including budget preparation, reporting, purchasing, and audit documentation.
Act as a liaison between staff, leadership, and government representatives to ensure service agreement objectives are met.
Support daily operations, staff development, and office administration as needed.
Qualifications
Proven management experience in human resources, administration, or operations.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and support a team.
Knowledge of employment standards, human rights legislation, and human resources best practices.
Financial management experience, including budgeting and reporting.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including government representatives.
Proficient with Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Valid Class 5 Drivers License
