New Directions is a social service agency offering a wide range of resources and services that foster people\xe2\x80\x99s hopes and dreams in their communities. The Support Facilitator is responsible for: Providing support and encouragement to the participants in group and individual settings; Teaching of basic life skills; Supporting youth in cultural, recreation and educational activities in the community; Documenting file notes and maintaining records of all expenses and receipts and Presenting self and program in a positive and professional manner within the organization and in the community. The successful candidate will have: \xc2\xb7 Child and Youth Care Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience \xc2\xb7 Previous experience working with youth who have been marginalized and/or exploited \xc2\xb7 A demonstrated knowledge, awareness and sensitivity of Indigenous Cultures and Traditions and be inclusive of multi-cultural values, beliefs and lifestyles \xc2\xb7 Ability to work a variety of shifts, including some evenings and weekends \xc2\xb7 Valid Class 5 Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License and access to a vehicle for work purposes \xc2\xb7 Excellent team skills, documentation skills, creativity and high energy level The successful candidate will be subject to Criminal Record Check, Adult and Child Abuse Registry Check, Prior Contact Checks; and must supply a current driver\xe2\x80\x99s abstract.
