About the Role

Join our dynamic team at the Peter Willis Residence, where we support federally sentenced men in their journey back into the community. Through counselling, group programs, and employment services, we help clients build the skills and confidence they need to thrive.

As a Support Counsellor, you'll be a key part of that transformation. Your impact will include:

Supporting clients with personalized plans to boost social functioning Facilitating engaging groups Monitoring and documenting medication distribution Mediating disputes and promoting peaceful resolution Assisting with urinalysis and breathalyzer testing

Position Details

Sat/Sun/Mon 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Some 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. -all 12 hour shifts Training: Comprehensive onboarding and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Compensation & Benefits

Requirements and Qualifications

College diploma in related Social/Human Sciences Minimum 1 year experience (placement or paid) in therapeutic or correctional settings Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with databases Accessibility to reliable transportation Must be granted Reliability Status before employment can start Ability to manage occasional exposure to vicarious traumatic stress
