Wexe2x80x99re looking for an experienced Support Assistant to join our Prohibited Action Complaints department to provide administrative and clerical assistance.In this role, your experience providing administrative support in a legal department will be an advantage, however, if youxe2x80x99re a self-starter with good administrative and customer service skills, and a team player with an eye for detail, youxe2x80x99ll be a good fit for this position.How youxe2x80x99ll make a difference: Youxe2x80x99ll help ensure B.C. workers go home safely at the end of their workday.This is a temporary vacancy of approximately 8 months of duration.Where youxe2x80x99ll workAt WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.In this role, youxe2x80x99ll work from your B.C. home and in our Richmond office.What you'll do

  • Provide administrative support to the department
  • Assist officers with prohibited action or penalty matters by gathering materials and information, reviewing files for completion, identifying discrepancies, and communicating with appropriate parties to complete files
  • Prepare and organize various correspondence, reports, written submissions, presentations, and documents of a legal nature that often include technical industry terminology
  • Access and maintain databases and procedure manuals
  • Undertake word processing and document editing

  • Clearly communicate and document detailed information, both orally and in writing, to a variety of audiences
Your background and experience
  • A minimum of grade 12 education
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A minimum of two years of administrative support experience in an office environment xe2x80x93 administrative support in a legal environment is an asset
