Key goals of the CSU are to help identify and implement strategies that effectively support collection development that is relevant to the teaching and research needs of the University of Alberta community; to build a single collection of information resources that are discoverable and accessible in a timely manner; and, to build a collection that is based on the analysis of a variety of forms of evidence that allow the University of Alberta Library to better respond to user-driven needs.PositionThe University of Alberta Libraries seeks an Acquisition & Collection Support Assistant with an excellent customer service orientation and strong ability to problem solve in a technological environment. The successful candidate thrives in a dynamic work environment that is highly dependent on teamwork. The position is responsible for a variety of tasks related to the acquisition of electronic products, collection management, license administration, and assessment support. This is a specialized position requiring independent research, judgment, and frequent contact with Library staff and library suppliers.
