About the Opportunity
The Supply Technician has an important role within the health care team to provide indirect and direct support for patients. Under the direction of the Business Manager and Team Lead Stores with minimal supervision, the supply technician is responsible for the requisitioning, maintenance and control of medical/surgical supplies, equipment and instruments and for related functions which contribute to the care of Ambulatory Care patients. The supply technician orders, receives, stocks, and inventories supplies and equipment for a number of ambulatory clinics and other areas as required using online systems. The Supply Technician monitors, tracks and records stock levels, and maintains minimum inventory taking into account budgetary constraints and scheduling considerations and by frequently liaising with the Business Manager, Ambulatory Care Managers, and the central warehouse on Dorey. They provide materials reports, monthly financial sheets, and other ad hoc reports.
