Mother Earth Childcare Centre in Guelph

is seeking

passionate, experienced Registered Early Childhood Educators for our supply list!

All applicants should be familiar with

Waldorf and Montessori education

, but training and ongoing professional development in both areas are provided. We are a new childcare centre owned and operated by

an RECE passionate about forest play, creativity, high-quality childcare, natural environments, nutrition, RECE work conditions improving and blended curriculum learning.

We are seeking educators that have a love for the outdoors,

a joy for working with young children, strong communication skills, warm demeanors, a willingness to grow and learn

with the centre.

Responsibilities

~Assist Full-time staff in Implementing daily program plans based on child-led interest with a blended play-based curriculum.

~Provide extraordinary care and supervision for young children in your program

~Working with the Infant, Toddler and Preschool Programs

~Work collaboratively with co-teachers on positive classroom management, modeling and child imitation, curriculum planning, documentation, special events, and parent-teacher interviews.

~Maintain the health, safety, and well-being of each child at all times.

~Communicate with team members, students, volunteers, and families

~Attending special events, staff meetings, Professional Development,and Workshops.

Qualifications

Registered Early Childhood Educator, Certified Montessori Teacher, OR Ontario Teacher

Ability to work between the hours of 730am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday

Currently hold a clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check

Currently hold a valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification

Up to date immunization records

We are a technology free program for both staff and children, we do not use any digital programs (Himama/Brightwheel/etc) and do not allow the playing of any videos/songs. Please refrain from applying if your main form of teaching is through digital devices.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Freelance, Apprenticeship

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 30 per week
