Imperial is looking for ambitious and highly motivated business students to join our Procurement Services Department (PSD). You will be working in a fast-paced team environment and have the opportunity to grow in the purchasing, contracting, and supply chain management of materials and services area while maintaining effective business controls.

Examples of Job Responsibilities:

  • Procuring materials and services to support business operating requirements
  • Providing client advice and guidance related to acquisition processes
  • Providing support in expediting material deliveries and resolving invoicing issues
  • Providing assistance with contract administration and bidding activities
  • Performing SAP reporting and analysis on a regular basis
  • Providing data support and run inventory analysis by plant locations
  • Supporting Inventory Counts at 3rd party locations
Student terms will also include a variety of short-term projects with specific deliverables for completion by the end of your work term.

Qualifications

Academic:
  • Candidate pursuing a university Business degree, Supply Chain Management degree, or Master\'s program planning to return to school after their work term
  • To be considered for employment, your most recent unofficial transcript(s) must be submitted with your application
Other:
  • Supply chain/ procurement experience is preferred
  • A desire to learn, excel and create value
  • Effective interpersonal skills to interface with suppliers and business clients
  • Team player with problem solving ability, business acumen, and effective time management and communication skills
  • Work schedule: Full time position

Eligibility to work in Canada

Proof of eligibility shall be in the form of a Canadian birth certificate, Canadian passport, Canadian citizenship certificate, Canadian certificate of permanent residence, Canadian open work permit or receipt from Immigration Canada of an application for a post-graduate work permit. Proof of eligibility must be current and valid (not expired, cancelled or voided). Proof of eligibility will be required if an offer of employment is made. Failure to provide proof of eligibility at least six (6) weeks prior to the start date may result in the offer of employment being rescinded.
