Summary

We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager located in Canada to lead our shipping and receiving department. This role is crucial in optimizing our supply chain processes and ensuring the efficient movement of goods, contributing significantly to our operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Plan, organize, and evaluate daily operations of the company's supply chain activities;

- Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures;

- Plan and control the budget and expenditures;

- Assign projects and programs to the purchasing and warehouse departments across the organization;

- Coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling and distributing materials, equipment, machinery and supplies;

- Oversee the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods and services;

- Conduct Request for proposals;

- Identify vendors and suppliers, review and process claims against suppliers;

- Negotiate and manage purchase contracts;

- Review purchase order claims and contracts to determine compliance with company policy;

- Train, direct, and motivate staff.

- Reports to VP of Operations and Supply Chain

Qualifications and Requirements:

- A Bachelor's degree or college diploma in supply chain management, commerce, or economics is required.

- At least 3-5 years of experience as a supply chain manager within the food production industry is required.

- Knowledge of international trade, supply-chain management, logistics, and warehousing is an asset
