We currently have opportunities for Supply Chain Coordinators in our truck, rail, marine or logistics teams within the Winnipeg Head Office Transportation Department. Supply Chain Coordinators are a key component in the successful execution of Richardson's transportation of commodity goods to end use customers globally. Successful candidates will support the management of day-to-day and longer-term planning activities for the network of Richardson grain handling facilities and processing plants and will be responsible for one or more of the areas listed below.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate the delivery of grain trucks or railcars for inbound shipments to processing plants or for onward shipping to end-use customers.

Prepare freight rate analysis and may participate in negotiating freight rates.

Work closely with Merchants to administer and manage grain merchandising sales and purchase contracts.

Administer and execute bulk grain merchandising sales by ocean cargo vessel at export port terminals to end use customers.

Prepare export documentation for ocean cargo shipments.

Regular interaction with trucking companies, railways, vessel owners, service providers, agencies, and customers as well as many internal parties including merchandising, operations, accounting and quality assurance.

Qualifications:

Degree/diploma in logistics, supply chain management, agriculture, international business or agribusiness.

1-3 years' of experience in transportation, logistics, or agribusiness. Previous experience in an analytical role, customer service or administration will be considered.

Excellent communication and organizational skills to effectively deal with trucking companies, railways and other service providers.

Strong focus on accuracy and detail.

Exceptional time management skills.

Ability to handle multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
