Job Description

Robert Half is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Supply Chain Compliance Coordinator for our client, a prominent organization in North America. This role is integral in ensuring the company\'s compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for all imports and exports in Canada.

Responsibilities:
- Independently manage compliance and legal requirements for imports and exports, supporting various regional centers.
- Maintain and update SOPs, document libraries, and conduct supplier performance reviews.
- Ensure adherence to Canadian regulations including those from EPA, CFIA, NRCAN, HC, ECCC, Global Affairs Canada, and SIMA.
- Stay informed about free trade agreements (CUSMA/USMCA, CETA, etc.) and upcoming changes in CARM, particularly the CCP (CARM Client Portal).
- Proficient in classifying goods within the CAD customs tariff and HS/HTS system.
- Manage supply chain security and conduct audits.
- Facilitate communication between brokers, carriers, forwarders, and various internal teams.
- Serve as a liaison with North American carriers, forwarders, and brokers, ensuring smooth daily operations in trade and compliance.
- Monitor importation and clearance of goods, including managing ACIGN tickets and correspondences.
- Support legal and documentation requirements in neighboring countries when necessary.
- Handle merchanting transactions and bonded warehouse operations as applicable.
- Undertake additional duties relevant to the function in the region/sub-region/country.

Education & Experience:
- Canada Customs specialist certification and Canada Export specialist certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of import/export experience.
- Customs broker license is an asset but not mandatory.
- Strong background in supply chain management.
- Comprehensive understanding of domestic and international sales order processes.
- Proficient in English, both verbal and written; additional languages are a plus.
- Certificate or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent experience is required.
