The Supplier Relations Analyst plays a critical role in supporting supplier engagement through data management, outreach, and performance analysis. This position ensures accurate supplier information, facilitates onboarding and communication, and provides actionable insights to strengthen supplier programs and drive business growth.
This is a remote position; however, candidates are required to reside within 100 kilometers of a major Canadian airport to accommodate frequent travel across Canada.
If the successful candidate is located in the Edmonton area, the role will be based in-office in Nisku.
Responsibilities and Activities
Supplier Data Management
Maintain and update supplier records, contracts, and agreements in Canoe's CRM and related systems.
Coordinate contract information updates to ensure accuracy and alignment with Canoe's website.
Classify suppliers based on program participation, compliance, and performance metrics to support reporting and engagement strategies.
Ensure completeness of supplier data, including contact details, compliance documentation, and program history.
Monitor administrative fee submissions for accuracy and compliance, addressing discrepancies promptly.
Supplier Relations
Coordinate supplier onboarding processes in collaboration with Supplier Development Managers (SDMs) and Sourcewell, ensuring timely completion of required documentation and training.
Serve as a liaison between Sourcewell, Procurement, and internal teams to facilitate onboarding readiness and smooth integration.
May conduct onboarding sessions or provide logistical support for SDMs as needed.
Conduct outreach calls to suppliers to confirm data accuracy, promote engagement opportunities, and schedule business reviews.
Communicate administrative fee structures clearly and monitor compliance with submission processes.
Distribute surveys and communications about upcoming tradeshows, webinars, and Canoe-sponsored events.
Analytical Functions
Track and analyze supplier participation and engagement trends, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Prepare detailed reports on supplier performance, compliance status, and engagement metrics for leadership.
Develop dashboards and visual summaries to present supplier data in an actionable format.
Collaborate with internal teams to optimize supplier engagement and program success.
Administrative Support
Create and organize supplier-facing materials, including training guides, presentations, and FAQs.
Assist with scheduling supplier meetings, webinars, and other engagements, ensuring smooth logistics.
Collaboration
Work closely with the Manager of Supplier Relations to prioritize and execute tasks.
Partner with Client Relations, Procurement, Marketing, and Accounting teams to align supplier activities with member needs and compliance standards.
SCOPE
The Supplier Relations Analyst ensures the efficient flow of information and insights between suppliers and Canoe. This role combines administrative expertise with analytical capabilities to strengthen supplier relationships and support Canoe's strategic objectives.
SKILLS/EXPERTISE REQUIRED:
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM platforms.
Analytical mindset with ability to interpret, analyze, and visualize data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education
:
Post-secondary degree/diploma in business, accounting or a related discipline or applicable work experience and training.
