Pay Rate: $55/hour
Shift: 1st Shift | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Assignment Type: Full-Time
Duration: 13 weeks (with potential for extension)
Conversion Potential: Yes (to full-time employee)
Travel Requirement: Up to 50% (Personal vehicle required)
Onsite Requirement: Minimum 3 days/week in office
Position Overview:
As a Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring product and process quality across our supplier network. You'll lead qualification activities, resolve quality issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers globally.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Product and Process Qualifications (PPQs) at supplier sites
  • Contain and resolve supplier non-conformance issues globally
  • Manage supplier investigations and corrective actions
  • Drive process improvements and cost reduction initiatives
  • Audit suppliers for manufacturing capability and quality systems
  • Develop supplier capabilities to meet current and future needs
  • Collaborate with customer-facing teams to resolve product non-conformances
  • Maintain regular in-person presence at supplier sites for development and improvement
Required Qualifications:
  • Technical training or education in quality, mechanical, or electrical engineering
  • Familiarity with ISO9001, Supplier Quality Management (SQM), and quality control routines
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and GD&T
  • Experience with inspection methodologies and critical parts (e.g., discs, shafts)
  • Ability to manage multiple investigations and projects independently
  • Experience working in or with manufacturing facilities
  • Self-motivated with strong ownership of projects
  • Ability to manage PPQs and unexpected supplier quality issues end-to-end
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with quality improvement tools (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa)
  • SAP experience
