This position will also be responsible for working with both internal stakeholders and Indigenous communities to advance relationship building, local contracting opportunities, and advancing cultural learning for ConocoPhillips employees. This role will partner and engage with a wide cross section of ConocoPhillips workgroups and leaders to ensure ongoing communication and broad understanding of business and community values.This role will report to Manager Surface Land and Stakeholder Engagement and has 4 individual contributors reporting to this role.Responsibilities:Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the team.Build positive relationships with communities and be a community ambassador for ConocoPhillips.Attend and participate in community events.Support the career development of team members and look for opportunities for their career growth.Champion DEI culture efforts at CPC and model SPIRIT values.Support negotiations for relationship agreements with Indigenous communities.Work with corporate Sustainable Development team on advancing corporate goals and initiatives.Build External Relations annual budget for approval for both Surmont and Montney assets.Provide guidance and strategies for ConocoPhillips\xe2\x80\x99 External Relations engagements with communities in both Surmont and Montney asset areas.Participate in CAPP and Pathways Alliance committees.Represent ConocoPhillips and attend various community meetings, events, field visits, etc.Participate in annual goal setting process and set goals for the Stakeholder Engagement & Indigenous team.Build positive relationships and work collaboratively within Low Carbon-SD-External Affairs, Supply Chain, Development, Operations, Capital Projects, and Wells groups.Facilitate relationship building opportunities for other ConocoPhillips leadership with community members.Advance organizational learning and development about Indigenous cultureParticipate in strategic initiatives.Emergency Response supportEnsure robust local contracting strategy is being implemented.Understand evolving regulatory and legislative policy changes and ensure ConocoPhillips is responding to those expectations.Required Qualifications:Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree10+ years of experience in an external relations related field5 years of experience working in the oil and gas sectorDemonstrated ability to build positive relationships and navigate challenging relationship dynamics.Demonstrated leadership skills.Negotiation experienceDemonstrated ability to influence change and partner collaboratively.Demonstrated personal integrity and self-discipline, and ability to build trust and confidence.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsStrong presentation and facilitation skillsAbility to travel 15% of the time.Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.Preferred Qualifications:Strong collaboration skillsExperience working with all levels of an organization.To be considered for this position you must complete the entire application process, which includes answering all prescreening questions and providing your eSignature on or before the requisition closing date.Current employees: Please ensure you have discussed your intent to apply with your current supervisor prior to applying for any internal position.For information on our Sustainable Development performance in Canada, visitConocoPhillips is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Apply Before: June 13, 2024Sponsorship: ConocoPhillips\xe2\x80\x99 sponsorship for employment authorization in the country where this job is located is NOT available for this position.EEO: ConocoPhillips is an equal opportunity employer.
