What You'll Be Responsible For



Leadership & Team Management



Supervise, train, schedule, and support shipping team members. Foster a positive, high-performing team culture focused on accuracy, safety, and accountability. Cross-train staff across shipping, documentation, and order-entry functions.

Transportation & Logistics Optimization



Lead outbound transportation strategy, including routing, tendering, and rate negotiation. Source and contract carriers while continuously improving cost and service performance. Track, analyze, and report on carrier performance metrics and freight spend. Oversee dock scheduling to ensure efficient workflow and minimal downtime.

Shipping Operations



Ensure accurate and compliant documentation for all shipments, including cross-border and brokerage requirements. Monitor carrier compliance with safety, sanitation, trailer temperature, and HACCP standards. Coordinate ingredient, packaging, and finished product transfers between warehouses.

Inventory & Warehouse Flow



Support warehouse organization, finished goods storage, and product rotation. Conduct and reconcile physical inventory counts as required. Ensure accurate order picking, staging, and loading.

Safety & Compliance



Uphold all company policies, food safety standards, and health & safety requirements. Champion safe work practices and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

What You Bring



5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse coordination (supervisory experience strongly preferred). Strong knowledge of freight markets, carriers, and cross-border shipping requirements. Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold teams accountable. Experience negotiating freight rates and managing transportation costs. Strong technical and administrative skills, including broker platforms and data accuracy. Forklift/pallet jack certification or willingness to obtain.

Key Relationships



You'll work closely with teams across Marketing, Operations, Accounting, Receiving, and Production, as well as external carriers, couriers, freight brokers, and delivery partners.

Work Environment



Fast-paced with a mix of routine execution and problem-solving. Combination of office work and production floor activity. Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and warehouse conditions. Occasional lifting, bending, walking, and trailer inspections.

Salary



Starting at $27 per hour, with higher pay for candidates with experience and proven skills.
