As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that the customer service philosophies are met and are an important part of the everyday operation of the Security Department
  • Ensuring that all Security personnel functions are being properly completed by the Security Department
  • Providing supervision for workers to ensure workplace safety and proper use of personal protective equipment
  • Ensuring that all employees, tenants and visitors abide by the shopping centres rules and regulations
  • Reviewing all reports and notebooks completed by Security personnel to ensure accuracy and timely submission
  • Performing duties and tasks as assigned by the Security Manager & Assistant Security Manager and respond to directions from all shopping centre management
  • Ensuring that each shift is properly manned at all times and perform Security Professional duties as required
  • Complying with all employer responsibilities prescribed under the applicable provincial Health and Safety Act
To succeed in this role, you have:
  • 5+ years of experience providing Security services. Previous experience in a Shopping Centre or large institution is considered a strong asset
  • 2+ years of prior supervisory experience. Supervisory experience in a unionized environment is considered a strong asset
  • A post secondary education in Criminal Justice, Law, Police Foundations, or a related field
  • A valid G Class Ontario Drivers License with a clean drivers abstract
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Security License from the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Service
  • Must possess and maintain a valid First Aid and CPR C certification
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
