Job Description


Position title: Supervisor, SAP Security Location: Montreal (hybrid) Reports to: Manager SAP Admin By supporting the Manager of SAP Admin team, he/she will supervise the SAP Security team and contribute to evolve the SAP solution and grow the SAP practice maturity going forward. The SAP Security Supervisor will play a central role in the SAP ERP group by ensuring SAP applications are secured, that ITGC and Sox controls are followed, that access management is performed, that standards and processes are defined and implemented as well as managing the SAP Security operational activities. Job Responsibilities / Accountabilities: Manage operational activities:

  • The SAP Security Supervisor will supervise and perform SAP Security, GRC and licensing activities for all the SAP environments and related integrated third-party tools running within the SAP landscapes for development, testing and production releases in compliance to ITGC and Sox controls.
  • Will provide leadership and management of all SAP Security related activities.
  • Will Manage and provide direction for Access Management and licensing in support of
  • business operations.
  • Will perform review of IT security standards, release management, change management and quality assurance standards.
  • Will oversee daily monitoring of ERP
  • Will supervise SAP security role development and management.
  • Will ensure better practices are applied for SAP security and change management.
  • Will identify and implement process improvements in various aspects, like- but not limited to user access, manual controls.
  • Will own IT policies and procedures related to SAP systems and security, proactively updating such as required.
  • Will provide strong operational support to the internal applications teams.
  • Will monitor issues and identify root causes and propose and implement solutions to improve security and compliance.
  • Will keep the manager/team leaders informed of the progress and issues and collaborate with team members and application partners. A strong ability to work independently and with teams in a fast-paced environment is a must.
  • Will Maintain effective communication of plans, status and issues to business, Internal Auditors, and Information Technology management.
Participate to projects:
  • Will participate in projects and perform additional duties as required.
  • Will provide in-depth SAP product knowledge to help support business and project objectives.
  • Will drive evaluation of options, risks, resource requirements, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.
  • Will be responsible for planning an approach for defining, documenting, categorizing, and packaging requirements for projects and initiatives.
  • Liaise with business management, IT management, Internal Audit vendors, and partners in project related matters as well as lead discussion on strategic direction and best fit alternatives or to align IT plans with Business strategic plans.
IT General Controls and Sox Controls:
  • Ensure audit and ITGC controls are observed and followed.
  • Participate in internal and external audits requests.
Manage the SAP Security team:
  • Will conduct performance reviews, providing timely feedback, and identifying skill development opportunities for the managed teams.
  • Will supervise remote and on-premises SAP Security Administrator\xe2\x80\x99s team (employees and external consultant), will need to show ability to supervise in a remote work environment
  • Will conduct regular team meeting, assign tasks, and balance workload.
  • Will provide guidance to the team through problem definition, issue identification and work plan development using problem solving principles and experience
  • Coach and mentor other team members and conduct knowledge sharing activities
Key skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP Security configuration in the following areas: S/4 HANA, ECC, CRM, BW/BOBJ, SM, GRC, Fiori, HANA Database, Netweaver.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP GRC Administration, particularly Access Control, including Request Management, Access Risk Analysis, Workflow Configuration, Emergency Access Management.
  • Experience translating user requirements into technical SAP security roles.
  • Flexera 2020R2
  • CUA
  • GRC versions 5.3, 10 and 12
  • Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel,
  • Result driven with a positive can-do attitude

  • Proven leadership skills.
Professional Experience / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in information technology, engineering, business, or similar discipline.
  • Experience budgeting, resource management, process improvement, tools development
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Information Technology
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in various project management roles
  • Demonstrated experience with MSWord, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project or Smartsheet, and SharePoint.
  • PMP certification or equivalent experience and training.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry a plus.
