With five mines, a mill, a smelter, a refinery, and nearly 4,000 employees it is also one of the largest integrated mining complexes in the world. Sudbury is also home to several administrative sites serving both the Ontario Operations as well as all our North Atlantic Operations.The Opportunity:We are currently seeking a Supervisor, Raise Bore/Diamond Drill (Planning/Scheduling) to join our Mines Research team within our Ontario Operations based in Sudbury, Ontario. This is a permanent position.As a Supervisor, Raise Bore/Diamond Drill (Planning/Scheduling) you will be accountable for continuous improvement and support of the team performance, through effective use of established processes and procedures. You will take ownership of your portfolio and possess strong data analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Additionally, in this position you will:

• Work Monday to Friday, day shift.
• Understand fleet and operators in areas of accountability.
• Coordination of all parts inventory including maintenance and operational consumables.
• Coordinate pre-site (drill moves) as per geology and ensure site prep for subsequent moves.
• Support Operations (Diamond Drillers) through regular MRA\xe2\x80\x99s with Site Superintendents/Supervision.
• Support in the development and maintenance of standardized templates and instructional design. standards for online training content development in alignment with L&D, North Atlantic Operations.
• Conduct and support the coordination of OSHE inspections as outlined and scheduled.
• Support/Manage coordination of Peer Training initiatives in area of accountability and support Learning & Development and the signing authority guidelines.
• Manage and Facilitate job procedure reviews/implementation and MOC initiatives to support continuous improvement initiatives for Plant 93.
• Work directly with Raise Bore and diamond Drill working Superintendent to establish Plant 93 structure.
• Direct Liaison between Ops, Geology, Maintenance, Warehousing, and all 3rd Party vendors.
• Support Maintenance programs checklist by auditing sites/stations.
• Coordinate deployment of new rigs.
• Establish and maintain work relationships with the various key plant stakeholders including superintendents, supervisors, other schedulers, planners, crew members, etc.
• Monitor KPIs and actively strive toward plant targets.
• Manage set budget.

About YouEducation:

• Grade 12 completed or GED equivalency with equivalent experience is required.
• College Diploma in a relevant discipline (Mine Engineering Tech or Mineral Processing), diplomas are preferred.
• Underground Diamond Driller Common Core Runner Accreditation (PG770150) is preferred.
• First Line Underground Supervisor Common Core Accreditation (PG770121) is preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field.
• Demonstrated experience with Diamond Drilling support technology, coordination, maintenance such as fleet management, consumable supply warehousing is an asset.
• Experience running projects an asset.

Skills:

• Extensive knowledge in the mining industry, specifically knowledge and experience in Diamond Drilling \xe2\x80\x93 both surface and underground are preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and related software products.
• Strong project management and organization skills.
• Ability to operate both individually and collectively with team members.
• Committed to quality and excellence at work as well as continually looking for process improvements.
• Highly organized ability to prioritize.
• Problem solving capability.
