Closing Date: May 17, 2024Reporting to Outside Processing General Supervisor, the Supervisor, Processing (Cable Belt & Equipment), is responsible for assigning all outside work and backfilling the Processing Supervisor to meet safe production objectives in an efficient manner. This position is a 4x4 rotation of day shift.To be successful, we are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who enjoys collaborating with multiple teams and personnel at all levels of the organization. This person would demonstrate strong technical skills and professional integrity as they work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.   • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Administer the collective agreement, safety, mine, and environmental regulations in a manner consistent with policies and procedures
  • Lead and empower individuals in achieving operating targets and expectations, while enhancing employee performance through coaching and feedback
  • Coordinate and prioritize the activities interconnected with process operations teams to meet efficiency, quality, and safe production objectives
  • Coordinate and communicate stockpile and reclaiming strategies with Processing Supervisor and Logistics teams
  • Monitor pumping and/or dewatering systems; coordinate solutions in collaboration with facilities, plant maintenance and processing teams
  • Monitor pond levels and lead daily inspections
  • Supervise cable belt maintenance and operation
  • Manage Course coal refuse dump development and maintenance
  • Work closely with Processing Supervisor to maintain environmental compliance
  • Facilitate project management, including writing purchase orders, job scopes, justifications, and scheduling contractors
  • Participate in industrial relations and safety investigations
Qualifications:
  • Minimum two years\' experience in mining or similar industry
  • HSRC supervisory ticket or the ability to obtain
  • Experience within a mining, plant facility or mill
  • Experience in supervising and managing contractors
  • Experience with equipment including loaders, dozer, haul trucks, excavator
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite\xc2\xae: Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Project management experience is an asset
  • Exposure to Outbound Trains and Plant Runs programs or similar system is an asset
