The Company

B2Gold is a responsible international senior gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, the Goose Project under construction in northern Canada, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland.

Position

Supervisor, Powerhouse, Nunavut

Location and Reporting Structure

Reporting to the Superintendent, Powerhouse, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily operations of the engine hall and fuel storage facility, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards;

Develop and manage the daily maintenance plan, assigning tasks to the team while ensuring efficient execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities;

Conduct regular equipment inspections, utilizing technologies like vibration analysis, thermography, and lubrication analysis to detect and address potential failures proactively;

Provide hands-on support to maintenance teams, mentor technicians, and assist in developing safety training programs focused on hazard prevention, risk mitigation, and emergency response;

Ensure maintenance activities align with production goals while optimizing costs, minimizing downtime, and improving overall equipment effectiveness;

Enforce adherence to regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and operational procedures, while utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as SAP for tracking work orders and maintenance history; and

Identify opportunities for process optimization, equipment upgrades, and efficiency improvements to enhance powerhouse performance and reliability.

Desired Competencies and Requirements

Five (5) years' of post qualification experience, with a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a supervisor. Experience working with CAT;

Interprovincial Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or Nunavut Heavy Equipment Technician CoQ;

Power Engineer Certificate and Generator Certification required. A combination of a Red Seal Electrician or HET Certificate and prior experience working on diesel generators 208V 3 phase and up will be considered in lieu of certificate; and

An understanding of power generation, generator controls and operating systems and experience working with high voltage equipment.

Compensation and Benefits

For informational purposes, the total annual earnings are $185,000.00 for 2184 scheduled hours.
