We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and forward-thinking leader to join the Town of Innisfil and lead our Revenue Services Team as Supervisor of Revenue Services!


As a member of the Town's Leadership Team, you will be committed to the guiding values of the Town of Innisfil's Strategic Plan 2030, and will be responsible for overseeing the administration of property taxation and all other revenue streams necessary to sustain the Town's operations, as well as:




Setting annual goals, objectives, and performance targets for Revenue Services which align with those set for the Finance department, Corporately and within the Town's strategic plan Managing the proactive protection and enhancement of the assessment tax base; providing analysis of assessment growth, supplementary taxation and tax programs Managing the recording, reporting, and depositing of all revenue transaction streams, including property tax revenue, parks and recreation revenues and development charges and development related revenues, in co-operation and conjunction with Town Service Areas Leading the activities of Revenue Services team members and working toward unified objectives and ensuring resources are available to the team to meet operational obligations Developing and recommending service area specific policies such as Cash Handling and Receivable Collection using best practices available Participating on cross-functional teams and various committees, building and maintaining effective partnerships and using collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of goals and resolve issues Job Requirements
The preferred candidate holds the following:




A University Degree in Business or equivalent formal post-secondary education. A professional accounting designation (CA, CGA or CMA) is preferred. A minimum of five (5) years of senior municipal revenue or finance experience with property tax billing and collections, supervisory, (preferably in a unionized setting), administrative, and Development Charges Act. Experience as a Supervisor in a municipal environment is preferred. Holder of the Member Institute of Municipal Assessors (MIMA) designation from the Institute of Municipal Assessors (IMA) is preferred. AMTCO designation or equivalent specialized training/education such as the Municipal Tax Administration Program (MTAP) is an asset. Valid Class 'G' Driver's license and reliable vehicle to use on corporate business and availability to attend evening and/or weekend meetings or other events; and to respond to major emergencies as required.
