As a M09 Supervisor, Court Operations, you will be working as a member of the local management team, utilizing your exceptional leadership capacity to supervise and support staff, provide guidance and coaching as needed, monitor progress, and evaluate employee performance. Working closely with colleague Supervisors, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of court services for a range of practice areas (criminal, civil and family) and/or operational functions (court office, court case scheduling and in-court staffing), and will be tasked with resolving operational and client issues, ensuring that solutions comply with legislation, regulations, collective agreements, policies, and procedures. You will contribute to the planning and management of operational support services, including financial management, human resource management, facilities management and staff deployment. You will utilize your strong knowledge of court services to provide technical and procedural advice to staff. Modernization and improved services are a priority of the Court Services Division, and we rely on all our supervisors to monitor service quality, identify opportunities to improve processes, develop recommendations and implement approved changes, all in accordance with the divisional operational plans.

Mandatory requirements
You hold a valid class G Driver's License or equivalent recognized in Ontario.

Management and Leadership Skills
You can manage and supervise staff by communicating values, strategies, expectations and promote an engaged and inclusive environment.
You can lead orientation and training for staff and coordinate operational activities, such as scheduling of staff and court caseloads.
You can ensure that organizational standards and operational goals are met (e.g. contributing to succession planning, establishing performance standards, etc.).

You have knowledge of human resources practices, policies, directives, and collective agreements in relation to recruitment, training and development and labour relations to support an inclusive and engaged team.

You can interpret and apply relevant legislation, case law, acts, regulations, and court rules, and provide technical direction to staff.
