PURPOSE: Reporting to the Regional Manager, FBO, the Supervisor, Facilities will direct and manage all Skyservice Facilities in Quebec. This includes the location 9785 and 10105 Ryan Ave, 1200 Percival-Reid Rd and any new locations in Quebec. The Supervisor will ensure facilities are managed to a high standard and comply with established procedures and corporate standards.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Lead the Facilities team at Quebec locations which includes performance management, recruitment, scheduling, payroll, and budget management;
  • Participate in the preparation of facility budgets and Capex for all locations.
  • Develop short and long-term cost saving measures at each facility;
  • Ensure the effective implementation of all safety standards and programs as well as compliance;
  • Standardize and maintain facility and tenant manuals to streamline facilities procedures;
  • Monitor / develop facility preventative maintenance programs and leasehold improvements at each location keeping emergency failures at a minimum to reduce costs;
  • Provide corrective action plans for internal and external audit findings related to Quebec facilities;
  • Build relationships in each region with key stakeholders, including managing peer-relationships with Airport Authorities and acting as a liaison for all projects that require permitting from the local Airport Authorities including construction and special events;
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations including Transport Canada/ADM airport access, Line Safety Systems including controlling the access systems and issuance of any access keys, automatic and primary security control doors;
  • Participate in ADM facility/security related sessions as required;
  • Support the management of head-lease relationships and ensure leasehold improvement commitments are met;
  • Lead all facilities improvements and renovations including the management of contractors;
  • Lead the team responsible for GSE Equipment & Vehicles and ensure that all equipment and vehicles are maintained to standard while also reflecting brand standards (logos/decals, etc.);
  • Ensure security plans are in place and updated annually at each location;
  • Ensure evacuation plans are up to date and tested at each location;
  • Ensure fire inspections are accomplished at each location;
  • Vendor management for any facility related items - Secure and manage vendor contracts including snow removal, janitorial, waste removal, Canadian Linen, Shred-It, etc.;
  • Communicate effectively with other departments and ensure sharing of information;
  • Work with Finance and IT teams to identify technology needs and process improvements - roll- out solutions at a facilities-operations level;
  • Act as a key member of the Events-Go-Team;
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • A minimum of five (5) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience managing facilities in progressively more responsible positions including a minimum of two (2) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience supervising employees. Degree/diploma in Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent related education and directly related experience;
  • Certification in Facilities Management or progress towards completion of such a designation, equivalent experience is highly desired;
  • Demonstrated experience in property and building repairs, renovations and equipment modifications covering structural, electrical, and mechanical systems;
  • Multi-unit, regional facilities-scope and Airport experience, an asset;
  • Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act and building codes/airport construction codes with ability to read and understand drawings;
  • Experience with contract/subcontract creation, administration and oversight including assembling and issuing RFQ/RFPs;
  • Thorough working knowledge of custodial and maintenance processes, vehicle and equipment purchase and maintenance processes;
  • Demonstrated disciplined approach to project and workload management.
  • Resourceful and self-sufficient with strong time management skills and the ability to determine priorities and manage several projects simultaneously;
  • Excellent budget management, organizational and analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates initiative, decision-making, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills;
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience;
  • Computer literacy - proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD;
  • Excellent technical, presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Self-starter with excellent work ethic who delivers superior customer service;
  • A valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
