Winner of the 2020 John T Ryan Regional Safety Award and winner of the All Mines Safety Award 2014, 2016, 2018, 2019.The Opportunity:We are currently seeking a Supervisor, Maintenance (Planner) to join our Mobile Team at Totten Mine in Sudbury, Ontario. This is a permanent position.The job holder will continuously improve the work team (crew) performance through effective use of established processes and procedures at various plants or mines within the Sudbury area.Although previous experience in mining or an industrial setting is considered an asset, we also appreciate that diversity of thought comes from our differences \xe2\x80\x93 and that\xe2\x80\x99s what makes us great!In this position you will:

  • Required to work Monday to Friday, 8 hours day shift
  • Adhere to maintenance business processes as outlined in Maintenance Planning and Control (MPC) by using approved systems (SAP, Prometheus, etc.), tools and standards.
  • Establish and maintain work relationships with the various key plant stakeholders including supervisors, schedulers, superintendents, crew members, etc.
  • Execute the \xe2\x80\x9cPlanning and Provisioning\xe2\x80\x9d element of the process for all types of work orders - systematic and non-systematic maintenance. This includes shutdown (PMP) and external resource related work.
  • Coordinate and facilitate all required planning/scheduling routines.
  • Ensure WO user statuses are properly maintained throughout the lifecycle of the work order.
  • Review and promote/reject all new notifications into your work center through the group approval process.
  • Ensure work orders are planned and ready to be executed prior to the required end date as determined through the notification.
  • Work within assigned budgets and escalate to management should a budget be exceeded.
  • Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful execution of work orders for completion by their Required End Date.
  • Manage backlog to ensure work orders are planned based off priority and required end date.
  • Communicate and coordinate with procurement partners to ensure requisitioned items arrive as scheduled.
  • Create and update task lists to capture routine work and efficiencies.
  • Monitor KPIs and actively strive toward plant targets.
About YouEducation:
  • Grade 12 completed or GED equivalent is required.
  • College diploma or university degree in a related industrial field or a university degree in a related engineering discipline is preferred.
  • Valid industrial trade certificate for the province of Ontario.
  • Generic Supervisor Common Core (770141).
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working within SAP and the Prometheus add-on.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience leading crews.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the HDET trade.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft Office Products, etc.
Skills:
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and work well with others in a team environment.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be obsessed with safety and risk.
  • Demonstrate open and transparent dialogue in all aspects of work.
