Our licensed child care centre is looking for a dedicated and experienced
Supervisor
to join our leadership team. The Supervisor will work closely with the Director to guide educators, support families, and ensure a safe, enriching, and compliant environment for children aged
6 months to 6 years
.
About the Role
The Supervisor plays a key leadership role in daily operations, staff development, and program quality. You'll be responsible for implementing our philosophy and curriculum while ensuring the centre meets all
Ministry of Education and CCEYA
standards. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with
CCEYA
, health, and safety requirements
Lead, train, and mentor staff; conduct performance reviews and team meetings
Support educators in planning engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate programs
Communicate effectively with families and address questions or concerns promptly
Maintain accurate records and ensure all licensing documentation is up to date
Conduct tours for prospective families and assist with enrollment
Help plan and organize family events, open houses, and centre celebrations
Collaborate with the Director on staffing, budgeting, marketing, and program improvements
Qualifications
Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)
in good standing with the
College of ECEs (Ontario)
Minimum
2 years' experience
in a supervisory or leadership role within a licensed child care setting
In-depth knowledge of
Ministry and licensing regulations
Current
Vulnerable Sector Check (within 3 months), First Aid/CPR-C, TB test, and immunizations
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office
and web-based software systems
Excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal English communication
Work Schedule
Full-time
, flexible schedule (Monday-Friday)
Occasional evenings for tours, meetings, or events
