The Opportunity:
The Supervisor Environmental Services and Food Services will contribute to ensuring CGMH is delivering an excellent patient experience through the Environmental Services and Food Services programs. Under the direction of the Manager of Food Services and Environmental Services the Supervisor will support in the operation of both departments which may include scheduling, performance management, ordering, menu development and review and implementation of best practices throughout the programs.
Education and Experience:
Experience in Environmental Services or Food Services with a demonstrated willingness to learn
Food Handler's Certification Required
Red Seal preferred.
Demonstrated leadership experience; experience in the Hospital setting preferred
Competencies:
Experience with CBORD is preferred
Understanding of WHMIS and safe storage techniques for chemicals and supplies
Team management and coaching
Familiarity with Hospital cleaning equipment
Understanding of patient food preparation including understanding of diets, allergens and delivery
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with partners throughout the Hospital to ensure IPAC standards and environmental procedures are adhered to well maintaining effective patient flow
Support training and onboarding of staff, including implementation of standardized job routines
Support the Manager as needed on scheduling, performance management and coaching conversations
Conduct routine quality checks to ensure compliance with best practices and providing learning and support for continued improvement
Supports menu development and CBORD Maintenance
Support cafeteria delivery and catering orders and events
Support ordering of supplies and training on new materials

$49.27 - $58.51 per hour [$96,069.94 - $114,100.95 per annum]
