Job Description

The Winnipeg Free Press advertising department is seeking a dynamic and energetic Supervisor, Customer & Client Services to join our team!



This is a full-time position reporting to the VP of Revenue & Business Development. The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for coaching, developing and supervision of the advertising support staff and will be the main backup person for the Manager of Advertising Business Systems Finance Department

Duties & responsibilities include:

You will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative support tasks for Advertising throughout FP Newspapers.

You will work with related staff regarding the implementation of the new Advertising system (Naviga Ad) which includes communicating feature enhancements to end-users, training and documentation when required, trouble shooting and testing the upgrades prior to implementation and other related administration tasks.

You will ensure that all transactions are processed in an error-free manner leading to accurate billing and reporting of Naviga Ad revenue.

Learn and provide backup coverage for the daily revenue reports for Management.

Reviewing/auditing the calculation and payment of sales commissions to advertising sales representatives.

Work with the Manager of Advertising Business Systems to ensure all advertising departmental processes are complete and reviewed on a continual basis with the goal of constantly improving efficiencies.

You will train with the Manager of Advertising Business Systems to ensure full cross-training and backup coverage is met.

Other administrative tasks, as assigned.

This role requires the candidate to have a keen desire and drive to continuously learn in the ever-changing advertising landscape.

Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in related field or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge of basic advertising processes.

Ability to work independently and manage support staff within a team setting.

Ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints in a courteous, and professional manner.

Experience with transactions-based high-volume business systems.

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, with excellent Excel spreadsheet and analytical skills

Detail-oriented and very well-organized.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
