Job Summary

As a Supervisor, Clinical Laboratories for our Pathology team in Senneville, you will be responsible for supervising, training and supporting technical staff. Your input will ensure maximum team efficiency and help solve the toughest problems. This position is a temporary job for a period of 18 months, with the possibility of permanence.

In this role, key responsibilities will include:

• Support technical staff by removing obstacles, when possible.
• Plan and supervise the weekly schedules of technical staff to ensure optimal productivity.
• Oversee the training process and development opportunities for all technical staff.
• Make recommendations on short-term operational objectives, organizational structure, staffing needs and succession plans.

Key Elements

We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:

• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good listener and strategic vision
• Bilingualism French and English is required
• Collegial diploma is science or any related field in management
• Experience in staff management is an asset

Role Specific Information:

Location: Shuttle service from the Sainte-Anne-de Bellevue train station and from John Abbott College to the Senneville site. Free Parking.
Annual bonus based on performance
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Full-time position, temporary role for 18 months.

About Safety Assessment
Charles River is committed to helping our partners expedite their preclinical drug development with exceptional safety assessment services, state-of-the-art facilities and expert regulatory guidance. From individual specialty toxicology and IND enabling studies to tailored packages and total laboratory support, our deeply experienced team can design and execute programs that anticipate challenges and avoid roadblocks for a smooth, efficient journey to market. Each year approximately 300 investigational new drug (IND) programs are conducted in our Safety Assessment facilities.
