We are looking for a Supervisor, Accounts Receivable, to join our team in our Montreal office!
As the Supervisor, Accounts Receivable, you will report to the Controller and oversee the accounts receivable process on a national scale. You will be responsible for supporting the accounting team and operations by ensuring account updates and facilitating accounting activities.

Your Day as a Supervisor, Accounts Receivable
Ensure the daily deposits are recorded in the general ledger and perform bank reconciliations.
Manage customer accounts: process unapplied amounts, follow up on credit notes, and provide support to relevant teams.
Actively participate in the management of bank accounts, particularly when fund transfers are required.
Prepare and record month-end journal entries.
Produce detailed monthly reports on receivable balances.
Work closely with customer service teams to resolve complex situations.
Supervise the clerks in their daily operations, providing guidance and support as needed.
Ensure ongoing training for the team and the implementation and adherence to accounting best practices.
Participate in various special projects and perform any other related tasks as required by the organization.
Our Ideal Candidate
Degree in accounting or a related field.
5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role, including 2 to 3 years in a supervisory position.
Experience in the financial services or insurance brokerage industry is a strong asset.
Solid understanding of accounting cycles, accrual accounting, and internal control principles.
Familiarity with accounting software; knowledge of Applied Epic is an asset.
Bilingual, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English. The candidate will work in English with stakeholders (colleagues and clients) outside of Quebec.
Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective time management and organizational abilities.
Proven leadership skills, with the ability to engage a team and foster a collaborative and high-performance environment.
