Job Description

Are you a calm, neutral, and compassionate professional who thrives in structured environments and wants to support families during challenging transitions? We are seeking a Supervised Visit Worker to facilitate safe, respectful, and court-ordered visits between children and family members.

About the Role



This role involves supervising family visits in a neutral setting, ensuring the emotional and physical safety of all participants. You will document interactions, maintain boundaries, and support families in maintaining healthy connections during legal proceedings.

Key Responsibilities



Facilitate and monitor supervised visits between children and family members as ordered by the court. Ensure visits are conducted in a safe, respectful, and child-focused manner. Observe and document interactions objectively, maintaining neutrality and professionalism. Communicate with legal professionals, social workers, guardians, and the program manager. Respond to emergencies or escalations using appropriate de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques. Transport children or family members when required (personal vehicle and driving clearance may be necessary). Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times. Manage visit schedules linked to your calendar and communicate regularly with the program manager.

Scheduling Details



Weekend availability is required: Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 4:00/5:00 PM. Visits are booked back-to-back, with a 30-minute break between each. A maximum of three visits per day, with most visits lasting 2 hours. Successful candidates will choose two OFF days per week (excluding Saturdays and Sundays) where no visits will be scheduled. You will be responsible for checking your calendar and staying up to date with scheduled visits.

Qualifications & Requirements



Experience working with families, children, or individuals in high-conflict or trauma-informed settings. Strong understanding of child development, family dynamics, and court processes. Ability to remain neutral, non-biased, and professional in emotionally charged situations. Valid driver's license and driving clearance (if transportation is required). Police clearance and child intervention record check. First aid and crisis intervention training (or willingness to obtain). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage lone-worker safety protocols.
