The Full or Part-Time role of Supervised Junior ABA Therapist is ideal for a recent graduate or those seeking job-coaching support as an ABA Therapist.
Responsibilities of a Supervised Junior ABA Therapists Include:
A) Conduct ABA Therapy individually and in small groups under the direction of a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA), including but not limited to:
session preparation and clean up
providing opportunities for clients to practice their goals through table and natural environment teaching opportunities in the therapy room and in various rooms inside Synergy Kids
collect data related to each client's learning goals as outlined in their Treatment Plan
Communicate client progress with ABA Therapy Team including BCBA
use of JANEAPP for recording clinical notes, scheduling.
B) Ensure client's safety by:
anticipating client needs and providing proactive supports
supporting the client's behaviour in a moment of distress
engaging in fun activities with clients
providing first-aid and completing incident reports
notifying senior staff of potential dangers within the facility
wearing personal protective equipment as needed
ensuring exits are blocked/locked during sessions as needed
C) Provide personal care activities and/or reminders for clients to engage in care activities, including but not limited to:
personal care assistance such as handwashing, toileting, feeding and dressing
D) Organize toys/materials in accordance with Synergy Kids policies including but not limited to:
gathering items to be used during your shift such as preferred items, games/crafts and removing dangerous objects
E) Other duties as assigned including but not limited to:
checking email each shift at least once to receive company updates
creating materials, sanitizing toys, leading group activities, sweeping, moping, vacuuming, cleaning toilets/sinks, filling/emptying the dishwasher/laundry, etc.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
- Ability to implement behavior intervention plans effectively
- Excellent observation and data collection skills

Synergy Kids uses Natural Environment Teaching (NET) and functional learning environments to implement ABA Therapy. Sessions occur in the gym, sensory room, classroom, kitchen and therapy rooms to promote generalization and regulation in our clients.
The ideal candidate has recently completed a college or university program related to autism intervention and is seeking on-the-job learning experiences. Supervised Junior ABA Therapists will be given a tremendous amount of peer coaching from the Synergy Kids Lead Clinician and Supervised Senior ABA Therapist. The support will include live and written feedback as well as reviewing recordings of ABA Therapy sessions with a senior staff. It will include co-running ABA Therapy sessions and Behaviour Skills Training (BST) to ensure foundational ABA Skills are taught effectively to allow. This support will be faded during your first 6 months of employment to allow for knowledge transfer and skill acquisition. Supervised Junior ABA Therapists will complete a clinical competency evaluation following 6 months of employment.
Applicants must be able to work evenings and weekends:
Thursdays until 8:15pm
Friday until 8:15pm
Saturdays and Sundays 8:45-4:15pm
(plus one more shift if preferred)
