Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Supervised Instructor Therapist(s) to join our team. The Supervised Instructor Therapist will play a vital role in delivering high-quality ABA therapy services to clients. This individual will work closely with clients, their families, and the Clinical Supervisor (RBA/BCBA) to implement behavior intervention plans, promote skill development, and create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Ongoing, supportive clinical supervision is provided by an experienced RBA/BCBA with over 15 years experience in the field.
We are currently looking for therapists who can work in Brampton for 9 hours a week (three hour sessions, over three separate days).
Additional hours will be offered as they become available.
At least one year of hands-on ABA experience is required for these positions.
Duties:
- Provide ABA therapy services to children and teens with autism spectrum disorder in their homes and community
- Collect data and maintaining accurate and up-to-date graphing
- Deliver ongoing assessments and evidence based services directly to the client
- Ongoing communication with the family, the Clinical Supervisor, and other professionals involved with the client
- Attend team meetings when necessary
- Provide ideas and input for new programming and activities
- Work collaboratively with the Clinical Supervisor and other team members by taking part in the development and implementation of individual behaviour plan.
- Prepare and develop programs and materials
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year experience implementing ABA therapy
- College or University education in ABA
- Experience working with children with autism
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
- Ability to provide compassionate and client-centered care
