About the roleFinding better ways to provide the materials the world needs.We are looking for Administrative Summer Students to provide to gain valuable office experience in a high-paced fly-in fly-out environment while providing support to our operations teams during the busy summer, 2024. This is a great opportunity for highly motivated and energetic students to gain valuable experience at Diavik Diamond Mine.Reporting to the Supervisor, Personnel Logistics & CMX with a dotted line to Senior Analyst, Document Control, and working in a supportive team environment, you will be working a 2 week on / 2 week off roster at site and responsible for:
Provide administrative support to departmental leaders and their teams.
Responsible for coordinating and entering personnel data and changes within the FIFO (fly in / fly out) system.
Generate and distribute weekly site manifests for review by leaders across the business.
Providing support as and when required to support the Document Control function.
Maintaining filing and records consistent with Diavik Document Control procedures.
Routinely creating and developing reports.
Routinely executing site travel activities through FIFO (fly in / fly out) system.
Other projects throughout the summer that may arise.
What you\'ll bring
A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
A high school diploma and be registered in post-secondary schooling.
Intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook.)
Good organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
Ability to lift 50lbs.
The ability to be flexible and take on a variety of administrative activities.
