The People and Culture (Human Resources) Summer Student will have the opportunity to work with different areas of the Human Resources function, gaining exposure to the different stages of an employee lifecycle at ENMAX. The People and Culture Summer Student will be able to contribute to the processes and systems that enable talent management, HR systems, recruitment, and development of our people. The successful candidate will have a desire to learn and grow as they will be involved in a variety of projects.

This position is part of the 2023 ENMAX Summer Student Program. This 16-week program demonstrates ENMAX\xe2\x80\x99s commitment to invest in our future workforce and supports youth in building beneficial career skills. To be eligible applicants must be enrolled in a full-time degree or diploma program at an accredited post-secondary institution and must be returning full-time in the fall.

Major Responsibilities:

Contribute to and build informational content for a self-serve online information library

Audit, update, and organize HR information with established guidelines (ex. job descriptions, learning catalogue, talent management information)

Support in process documentation

Assist in process of job evaluation which creates alignment of job responsibilities, qualifications, and compensation

Support the creation of documents and processes to enable e-signature in Adobe (e.g. perquisite elections, offer letters)

Education Required:

Working towards a degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business, Sociology, Psychology, Communications, Data and Analytics, or a related discipline and will be returning to full time school following the work term

Qualifications & Experience:

Proficient in Microsoft Office products (ex. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills, with an ability to ask questions and clarify where required

Proficiency Adobe is an asset

Experience working with Human Resources Information Systems (ex. Workday) is an asset

Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
