We are currently looking for a summer student to join our Professional Affairs team of Olympus Canada in the Richmond Hill, Ontario office. This is a full-time opportunity involving 40 hours per week. The summer student program runs from May 29, 2023 - August 25, 2023.

The Professional Affairs team is responsible for the creation, management, lifecycle management, promotion, planning and execution of our continuing education programs for Health Care Practitioners to gain access to best-in-class continuing education program that the industry has to offer, to enhance patient care outcomes.

Job Duties

  • Reviewing and formatting education and training materials on a variety of topics and devices.
  • Communicating efficiently with other Professional Affairs team members.
  • Planning and organizing training material review.
  • Support the Medical Legal and Regulatory submission process for new and updated documents.
  • Provide regular project status update.
  • Use skills and experience to problem solve and triage unexpected situations with educational courses and related functions.
  • Assist in preparing reporting on training programs on key management issues and budget expenses.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, creating name badges and certificates and processing office supply orders.
  • Work collaboratively with the Professional Affairs team to support education events and projects.
  • Other tasks as required.
Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have completed a minimum of two (2) years at an accredited 4-year college/university and be currently enrolled in that undergraduate or graduate degree program during the time of the summer student program
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada already
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft 365.
  • Experience in managing projects and timelines.
  • Experience with customer relations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects involving numerous internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with high level of detail and accuracy.
  • Proven experience providing customer service.
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, IN Design and other systems used by Olympus)
  • Strong analytical skills are required.

  • Team Player with the ability to work independently and proactively. Able to work collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to deal with stress while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.
  • Ability to multitask and demonstrates high degree of time management, managing stakeholders to meet necessary deadlines.
  • Maximizes productivity while staying within constraints of formal organizational policies.
  • Communicating Effectively: Expresses ideas and information in a clear and concise manner; tailors message to fit the interests and needs of the audience; delivers information in a manner that is interesting and compelling to the listener.
