Job Details

Position Title: Summer Program Coordinator, Community-Centric Portfolio

Status: Contract position; duration of need: June 19, 2023 - September 1, 2023

Hours: Up to 16 hours per week

Faculty/Department: Faculty of Social and Community Services

Campus/Location: Lakeshore Campus

What you will do:

The incumbent will coordinate the following Community Portfolio programs: Child & Youth Care, Bachelor of Social Science - Criminal Justice and Bachelor of Child & Youth Care. The incumbent will contribute to: curriculum development; lesson planning; assessing student progress and achievement; and class management. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an effective learning environment and work as a collaborative team member. In addition, the successful applicant will be expected to play an active role in student advising, student recruitment, and graduate placement. The candidate will be expected to further develop community partnerships, as well as participate on Humber College/Departmental committees and advance college initiatives.

This individual will also contribute to the overall direction of the program, assisting with the promotion and marketing of the program, and developing and maintaining strong industry ties.

  • The successful candidate will have a graduate degree in a relevant discipline.
Experience
  • Two years teaching experience

  • Well-developed interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability in curriculum development and delivery
