Opened in 1978, Bryony House is one of the largest impact organizations in Nova Scotia. We provide 24-hour emergency services for women, with or without children, escaping intimate partner violence. We are excited to offer a paid Summer HR Coordinator position that promises an enriching experience in a unionized environment. Join us this summer and embark on a journey that combines learning, teamwork, and social responsibility. Under the guidance of the Human Resource Manager, you will:

• Reorganize personnel files.
• Revise and develop policies for Human Resource functions.
• Develop training material.
• Support the creation of wellness initiatives.
• Revise the onboarding process.
• Perform job audits.
• Provide administrative support.

Key Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Human Resources or Education Bachelor?s Degree or Diploma program
• Previous administrative experience, while not required, would be an asset.
• Training and Development/Adult Education courses, while not required, would be an asset.
• Proficient in the use of Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.

This position is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs Program and thus the eligible, youth must:

• Be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the beginning of the employment period
• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
