Summer Groundskeeper
We are seeking an experienced and hardworking grounds person for an apartment complex.
Reporting directly to the Property/Resident Manager the Groundskeeper is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the grounds and exterior common areas of the property.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure that litter is removed from the grounds and exterior common areas on a daily basis.
Sweeps and removes litter from parking areas, driveways and walkways.
Ensures that grass is mowed, trimmed and fertilized on a regular and timely basis and that weeds are properly controlled.
Maintains shrubbery and flower beds in a well-groomed condition.
Prunes and /or removes trees, as required.
Performs seasonal grounds keeping functions as required, including the regular watering of grass, flower beds and shrubbery and the planting and removal of plant material during the spring and fall.
Performs other duties and tasks which may be assigned from time to time.
Must be professional, physically fit and able to lift 25 Kilos, enjoy working outdoors and have a positive attitude and good work ethic.
Experience in lawn care and landscaping and landscaping tools would be a definite asset.
This would be an ideal position for someone who is currently in or returning to University ( in the fall).
