Select Weeks (30 hrs), Wage: $20/hr
The perfect candidate is:
outgoing, enthusiastic, active, an outdoor enthusiast, creative, innovative, kind, patient, emotionally intelligent
Role & Responsibilities:
o Lead camp & facilitate simple activities
o Build a positive relationship with children, and collaborate with them to ensure that their programming is meaningful, fun, engaging, and promotes autonomy
o Collaborate with fellow educators, parents, and camp director to support learning and development
o Commited to fostering a safe, fun, and positive learning environment
Skills & Qualifications:
o Ontario Certified Teacher, RECE, Forest & Nature School Practitioner, or relevant education and or experience in childhood mentorship
o Level C Standard CPR & First Aid, Vulnerable Sector Check
o Demonstrate a sound understanding of forest & nature school pedagogy, social emotional literacy, play based, emergent curriculum
o Demonstrate the use of effective communication skills, must be assertive
o Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
