Fish all summer long at Hawk Lake Lodge (30 minutes east of Kenora, Ontario)

Hawk Lake Lodge is an Orvis endorsed 5-star Fishing Resort that provides guest with an all- inclusive American plan.

We are collecting applications for full-time dockhands/maintenance worker as well as dockhands and fishing guides to join our outstanding team of service providers. Hawk Lake Lodge has 15-30 guests per day, with average guest stay of 5-7 days per trip. We are committed to offering a warm, friendly work environment with a strong team culture.

Skills:

Experience in construction, outboard engine repair, boat maintenance, plumbing, or general maintenance or related type work. Passion for fishing! Fly-fishing and previous guiding experiences a plus. Physically able to lift and service boat motors, split wood, hike trails to service out-lakes etc. Interpersonal and communication skills a must. Must be Canadian Citizen or have immediate authorization to work in Canada. Must be able to pass a background check.
Multiple positions available, working as a team with the other 7 dockhands/guides. First 3 weeks are spent opening the lodge, and on the water training as there is a lot of water to explore. Once guests arrive, depending on your role, you would work at the dock helping guests at the dock and preparing and maintaining the boats and doing projects and grounds maintenance, and for fishing guides you will be working as an Orvis fishing guide . Working an average of 45-50 hours over 6 days each week.

Benefits:

Pay is $18 - $22/hr based on experince and position for 45-50hrs a week.
