Substitute Instructor - Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Art (Terrace)
Job description and duties
Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Terrace campus, invites applications for a non-regular Substitute Instructor in the Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Art. The appointment will commence as soon as possible and end August 31, 2023. Salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Instructor Scale. Duties: To provide back-up coverage in the absence of the regular instructors. The Instructor(s) will be responsible for ensuring student success in the First Nations Fine Arts program. This includes course preparation, teaching and guiding students, providing feedback, correction, encouragement, and direction. In addition, the instructor will oversee and ensure safety, complete the related administrative, record keeping and monitoring activities as well as other related duties as required to teach First Nations Fine Arts courses.
Qualifications
The successful applicant will be a respected artisan of the Northwest Coast Art with a minimum of 10 years of experience and demonstrated credibility and respect within the First Nations art community.
