As first point of contact, the incumbent provides assistance to students, prospective students, applicants and community users including identifying service needs and providing information, scheduling appointments with appropriate student service providers, and/or making referrals to other departments. The incumbent may also be the first point of contact when students are experiencing emotional distress requiring urgent service and assist with linking to appropriate services and resources (e.g., scheduling triage or counselling appointments, connecting with security or other College staff, providing information about community resources, etc.). In addition, this position provides administrative support to Student Services Staff (Education Advisors, Indigenous Education Coordinator, Co-op and Employment Services Coordinator, Accessibility Services Coordinator, Counselling and Wellness and the Learning Specialist). This position also schedules and invigilates written and online exams.Qualifications: Post-secondary certificate in Office Administration, Human Services, or related program with strong skills in MS Office applications and a minimum of two years related work experience or equivalent is required.
